Special FX order and review from Camerareadycosmetics.com
This is a review of the order I received Monday from Camerareadycosmetics.com. I took my time to write this review because I wanted to really have the opportunity to work with each of these products and then give my opinion.
PPI Special FX palette:
I bought this palette and received it last Monday and I played with it and was amazed at how versatile the colors were and how easy it was to use them with a sponge or a brush. I was able to create bruises on my arms that were very realistic. It's a product that is smart in the way that it lets us be intuitive with the way it works. You use 99% alcohol (ONLY 99%) and either spray in the color you want or spray the tool you are using. This is the first palette I bought from PPI on the recommendation of Ally who works at CRC but this is not the last one. I really love it and it's great to build my FX kit.
Graftobian wax works and bruises kit:
received this great kit this week on Monday and have had the time to "play" with it and get to know more about the way it works. with the wax, I created a false scar that I build more using the liquid latex (it comes with a brush) and when it looked the way I wanted (my scar), I ripped the latex with a spatula and used the blood to make it realistic. I also used my PPI Special FX palette. I recommend this kit for someone who is starting FX, whether for fun or for work. Because in my next order, there will be a big bottle of liquid latex and some type of wax and more blood.
CS Super sealer:
I have tried soo many makeup sealer in my job as a makeup-artist but this one from Cinema Secret is the best I've ever encountered. It's been very hot and humid in Quebec where I'm from and it was hard for my makeup not to melt off my face but when I used it everyday since I got it (Monday the 4 of august), my makeup stays on ALL day until "I" decide to remove it. You don't need to spray yourself 8 times like with other makeup sealer I've tried before. One spray before applying my makeup and letting it dry and one spray when I'm done keeps me oil free and with a clean face ALL day. I bought the refill size and I already put in in a spritz bottle and will keep this in my kit forever and will repurchase as soon as I see that I don't have much left. Thanks CS for this product and Camera ready cosmetics for the great advice when I asked about the product and it was recommended. Like every time, you guys are right when it comes to the products you carry. I'm very happy and it was less expensive than all the other sprays I've tried before. That's a plus when you are a freelance makeup-artist.
La femme Cake mascara:
As a freelance makeup artist, I have clients allergic to latex. I wanted to carry an mascara option for them. I tried it few times since I bought it and I'm amazed how much it coats my lashes and there is no clumps. I bought the sealer to make it waterproof and assure that it was going to stay all day. I always test products on myself before using them on my clients. I may use it on clients who don't have a latex allergy but that are not used to wearing mascara. This will be easy for them to wear on their lashes and I had no problem with it drying. I curled my lashes before and applied it after with a disposable wand. I give the product 10/10 and with the sealer, it's 12/10.
Cinema Secret eyeliner sealer:
I bought the SC eyeliner sealer to use with my La femme cake mascara. It's an amazing sealer that keeps the mascara on all day and it waterproofs it. I will get a cake eyeliner for my kit and will already have the sealer that goes with it hand in hand. It's the perfect product to use with the La femme cake mascara and I used it with a regular eyeliner and it made it last all day. (I have non-waterproof eye liners in my pro kit and my personal kit) This product is AWESOME!
Bdelium tools SFX 12 brushes kit with pouches:
I've been building my FX kit and wanted to get the best brushes made for FX makeup. I looked up the Bdellium tools SFX 12 brushes set and fell in love. When it arrived, it didn't disappoint me. I knew I was going to like it but I LOVE it. There's a brush for everything and it comes with these 2 awesome robust pouches. I put my 12 brushes in 1 of them and in the other one, I put several smaller FX products and I can clip them together. It's well worth the investment to have the right tools especially when you are doing detailed work as SFX. I used these this week when I created wounds and looks on myself with the rest of the products I ordered and they were fantastic. I highly recommend this kit for makeup artist who want to do special FX. Bdellium tools is a great brand of makeup brushes. I'm giving this kit a 10/10.
Mehron ADMED adhesive remover:
I'm happy I bought this adhesive removers because it was very useful this week when I tested latex and other adhesives. This took care of them all and even the wax that is sticky and hard to remove. It's a must-have product in an SFX kit for any makeup artist or SFX lover. This is going to be useful for every SFX makeup I'll do when I'll use adhesives. Highly recommend.
MAQPRO fard flashy palette:
When I got the palette, I couldn't imagine how pigmented this small kit was. I tried several of the colors when doing fake injuries on myself with the rest of my SFX products and these fards gave me great pigmentation and it's not going to take too much place in my kit, which is always a positive thing. I highly recommend the MAQPro flashy palette for the pigmentation and the price.
Ben nye stage blood:
I bought a smaller size of the blood to test it out. It looked realistic and didn't taste bad at all. I will get a bigger size of this stage blood and also the BN thicker blood, I want both options. Overall, I'm really satisfied and I think for starting in SFX it's awesome. (the size) But it looks soo realistic, I am very happy with this product.
Ben nye clown white makeup:
I bought it recently and tested it on a side of my face and it didn't take a loot to give me FULL coverage (white, totally). I'm very happy with the product and can't wait to play with it more. As a makeup-artist, all of my products are things I play with when it's something new. Playing as in testing it out. Great product and it took such a small amount to cover half of my adult face. It was great!
Ben Nye effects gels kit:
I bought the big kit containing the 3 gels in the 2 oz bottles. This week I used one of them (the flesh tone one) and created something very creepy with in on my arm. I used a bain-marie (double-boiler) to heat up the gel and there was no problem with that method and it was easy to heat. It's such an amazing thing to work with. you can do soo much wih it. I used it in conjunction with my PPI FX palette and my MAQpro flashy palette and my wounds were very realistic. This is a must have in a makeup artist special FX kit.
This is not going to be my last order. I love love my CRC and won't go elsewhere because when you have the best, why go look anywhere else? https://camerareadycosmetics.com

camerareadycosmetics.com review
I placed an order at Camerareadycosmetics.com last week (on Thursday I think) and received my package yesterday. I was soo happy!!! Now for the more serious part, I'm going to do a review.
I ordered the Cinema Secret palette #1 (corrector) and it is awesome. I was using another brand before but after trying their foundation, I'm also sold on their corrector/concealer. They are creamy and you need soo little to correct and conceal. My issues are redness left from previous breakouts and it took a tiny bit to conceal them. I will be ordering soon my foundation color from cinema secret, it's just been unavailable in the past week or so (in the 500, the #11)
I ordered also the Graftobian lipstick palette in "cool". I tested it today and it is AWESOME, the lipstick blends perfectly, has good coverage, has no scent and doesn't fade (been wearing it for 4 hours in which I drank 2 coffee and smoked a cigarette. (I know it's bad but to let you know how amazing the lipstick is, I have to be honest). I will be ordering the other palettes or the bigger one with 18 lipstick in it. Need to think about it. :-)
I got 2 lip pencils from Cinema Secrets, one in "car wash" (same as last time because I want one in my professional kit and one in my own personnal kit) and the other color is "persimmon" and they are not only creamy but they are really pigmented and SOO affordable.
Because of youtube, I wanted to try to DUO adhesive lash glue and couldn't find it anywhere in store, so I ordered it and yesterday I put some falsies on and ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA, I know why people love the glue soo much. It's the best I've tried yet.
The last thing I bought is the "Japonesque set bag", which will help me on jobs when I want to carry some of my products but not all of them, like if the person needs to be retouched but without me carrying my whole kit. I love the fact that there's 3 BIG pockets on each side of the bag (with an elastic to make sure the bottles or the product doensn't go over and fall, and 2 HUGE velcro pockets on the extremities of the bags (one on each). I have tried the bag yesterday, testing by putting different things in it and I'm thrilled. This is a good investment. It contains a LOT and is made of a solid material.
I'm joining pictures of my haul, all taken this morning.

Once again I'm very satisfied by Camera ready cosmetics.com and will review each of the products.
See you soon!

Camera Ready Cosmetics haul and review
I bought from Camera Ready Cosmetics last week and received it yesterday 3 Cinema secrets foundation palette (number 3-7-10) I took the recommation on which palette to get from the website IN MY KIT from celebrity makeup-artist KJ Bennett.
First of all, the customer service offered by CRC was amazing. Mary (the owner) took care of my order and answered my questions really fast and it made me feel like I could trust them. (By the way, this review is my own opinion, I have paid for each products ordered)
I ADORE the foundation, as you will see in the picture, I have tested one of the palette using my spatula and my palette from QOSMEDIX and man they were useful, nothing compared to the plastic spatulas I was using before. The foundation like it said on the reviews offers full coverage and doesn't need a lot of product. I have tried it yesterday and today and I'm in love. I will re-order the palette I used and the foundation itself. It's affordable and amazing and will cover the wide-range of my clientele. I will get the remaining palettes in KJ Bennett's recommendation. (1 and 11). I also ordered 2 lip pencils from Cinema Secret in "Car wash" and "neked", they are soo smooth and the one I tested "car wash" was exactly my lip color and I used it with my favorite Lise Watier lipstick in "Jennifer". The last thing I ordered was the Ben nye colorless powder in his neutral set collection.
I give my order 10/10, I will order again from Camera Ready Cosmetics, by again I mean tomorrow (today is Canada day and the place I get my pre-paid credit cards is closed) and I will place an order from QOSMEDIX to get all of my disposables. I have had awesome customer service with them exchanging emails with a lady named Courtney M who works as a Marketing and Sales assistant. I doubt she will read my blog but she was as helpful as Mary from Camera Ready Cosmetics was.
I bought yesterday the Maybelline palette "The nudes" that I had heard about from Emily Noel's Youtube review. I have used it only today but I loved the pigmentation of most shadows and with a primer, all of the colors are good (some, I would say half of the 12 have awesome pigmentation without a primer) but for 13,99$ (CAD) and 12 eyeshadow in neutral colors, I feel it was a good buy and I would recommend it to anyone. I will put this in my kit. I have other nude/neutral palettes in my kit but the more, the better (as long as it is pigmented and does the job the brand whether it's high-end or drugstore products. What matters is quality, well in my own opinion anyway.
So attached are the pictures of my haul.

QOSMEDIX haul/review
I was lucky enough to be able to test some of the quality products offered by QOSMEDIX. They are a well-known manufacturer of beauty-related products. In our field, we need brushes for makeup, we also need to use disposables when doing client's makeup to be sanitary and QOSMEDIX is a company that does that and much more products.
The products in my haul and that I am reviewing for you are: falses lashes that were demi (I would say they have a demi wispy style) and it was 6 pairs for 8,55$. I just used a pair on myself and they were easy to apply and are giving me a great eye look. In my haul there was an oblong blending sponge that feels exactly like the beauty blender but the price is... you won't believe it: 1,95$ instead of the 26$ that is the cost for the Beauty blender. I know, isn't that amazing? I wanted to keep it for my clients but I had to try it and it is perfect. I have a drugstore fake beauty blender (same color, same size but very dense and not fun to work with. I still regret the 10$ I paid for the "fake one" but this one was a charm to apply foundation with and I will get more of the QOSMEDIX ones for my pro kit.
I also had sphere shaped head mascara wands. What is soo great about them is that because of the shape of the head, it makes it easy to reach every lashes, starting very close to the lashline. Usually it is difficult to reach the inner lashline without making a mess with the mascara. Their cost is only 5,50$ for 50 wands. When I have clients, I need makeup sponges, I always get the latex-free ones and usually a bag costs me 7$ CAD, this block of 12 trapezoid shaped thick makeup sponge costed only 1,10$ and their shape was very helpful to highlight the under eye area with some creamy highlighter (Boots #7 highlighter) .
The 2 last things in my haul are a must for every makeup artist or even anyone who uses makeup regularly. A dual ended mixing spatula in stainless steel, on one of the side I scooped out my cream foundation and with the other side I mixed it with my liquid foundation before applying it with my new fabulous purple blending sponge. The spatula is sold for only 5,00$ which is a steal when you look at every other places where you get makeup-artist materials and disposables. The last one I use to mix my cream foundation with my liquid one is a rectangular mixing palette with a mirror finish (and the mirror works, you see it on my Youtube haul/review video). The mixing palette, made of stainless steel is only 4,00$ and it is a charm to clean up after with 99% alcohol which is what you need to do when you are a makeup-artist or someone who uses a mixing palette because it disinfect and cleans so there is no germs left. This baby and the rest of my haul is already in my kit
I will post pictures of all of the products but let me tell you that all of these items are amazing AND the prices are very affordable for us, makeup-artist who need to buy them constantly to replenish our case because we use them on clients on a daily basis. If you want to go and purchase from them, the link is http://www.qosmedix.com/ . And it is not an affiliate link, I make no money if you click on my link. It's simply that I was amazed at the quality of the products.

OK, this is my ELF haul, I will post the name of each item with it's price and give you my honest opinion. I purchased with my own money all of the products. But even if they had been send to me, I'd still be giving you my honest opinion. For those who know me, you know I'm as authentic as can be. What you see is what you get. :-)
Let's start:
Commençons:
The Angled Blush Brush:
Le pinceau pour blush en biseau:
Cost/coût $3.00
# 1 I adore this brush!!!
J'adore ce pinceau, il est #1!!!
Lip Exfoliator:
Exfoliant à lèvres:
Cost/coût : $3.00
The lip exfoliator is awesome and it taste like yummy brown sugar! I almost wanted to eat it. I de-potted it and put it in a small jar, which was the best for my clients.
The Shine Eraser blotting papers:
Les papiers estompeurs de luisance:
Cost/coût :$1.00
They are amazing and soo inexpensive. I should have bought 10 packs!
Ils sont incroyables et si peu coûteux. J'aurais dû en acheter 10 paquets!
Liquid lipstick in Perfect Pink:
Rouge à lèvres liquide couleur Perfect Pink:
Cost/coût : $1.00
I love the product and i don't have it anymore. My friend Line stole it from me. Hihihihi
Eyeshadow in Taupe: (custom refill pan)
Ombre à paupière couleur Taupe: (recharge)
Cost/coût :$1.00
I love the color and it's pigmentation.
J'aime la couleur et sa pigmentation!

Love color and the pigmentation.
Lip Applicators:
Applicateurs jetables à gloss:
Cost/coût :$3.00
It's a pack of 12 and they are awesome when I do clients (for hygiene purpose). Once again, I kick myself in the butt because I didn't buy more packs. I feel like I need like 10 packs of them.
The Skinny Jeans nail polish:
Le vernis à ongles couleur "Skinny jeans":
Cost/coût : $2.00
Nail Polish was good, the color true to the one on the ELF website and I wore it to my friend's wedding.
Studio blush in Candid Coral:
Blush Studio couleur "Candid Coral":
Cost/coût : $3.00

Makeup Mist & Set:
Brumisateur qui rafraichit et fixe le maquillage:
Cost/coût : $3.00
Love love love for using on my client to set their makeup but as a mixing medium to foil eyeshadows. I bought 2 of them and beat myself up for not getting more than that.
Contouring Blush & Bronzing Cream: color is St. Lucia
I’m very impressed. I use both colors as blushes and on some lighter skin I can contour with the darker one. I will buy the powder version also. I have one in my kit and I gave the other one to my friend Line who was crazy about the colors when I did her makeup.
The Zit Zapper didn't worked on me but I gave the second one to a friend who swears by it. It depends on the skin type I think.
High Definition Powder: color in sheer
Poudre HD (Haute Définition): couleur translucide
Cost/coût : $6.00
I love love love it. And even if I bought 2 of them, I plan to purchase backups, I want to try the yellow one. (some say it's a dupe for a well-known brand) We shall see when I buy it.

I loved the Smudge Pot in Hit the Town, it's soo pigmented. I adore it and will buy more colors of these babies.... I had just bought the quartlet of Lise Watier in "Les Charbons" (for black smokey looks) and this was an AWESOME base and it did amazing looks. Let me know if you want me to post a picture of me wearing any of those products.

I will order again from E.L.F and I know I can count on Kay on customer support if I have a problem. I am dying to try all of the other custom eyeshadow refill pan in every other color and their studio brushes. I saw the brush belt, I need this also, I don't have one. Man it felt like Christmas when I opened the box. Nothing was broken, everything was package well. I got a little bonus, it was an eyeshadow trio I think, I don't know because my dearest friend M-J got it because these were her colors.
